PortionSnap is designed to keep your data on your device.

What stays on your device

Your meal log, photo thumbnails, weight entries, targets and quiz answers are stored in your browser's local storage. We don't create an account for you and we don't keep a copy of your log on our servers.

Meal analysis

When you snap or describe a meal, the photo or text is sent to our server to estimate calories and macros, and the result is sent back. We don't store those photos or descriptions after the analysis is returned. If we use a third-party AI provider to do the analysis, the content is sent to that provider for processing only.

Hosting and links

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver and protect the service. Links you arrive from may carry tracking parameters, which we pass to our checkout so purchases can be attributed.

Deleting your data

Use Settings → Erase all data in the app, or clear your browser's site data.
